Memorial Day Weekend

Hope you all had a fabulous holiday weekend! I know that we did. Friday night, J and I went on a date. It was long overdue. Drove to Starkville to eat at Mugshots, then rode around campus to see the changes and finally we HAD to stop by Coldstone to get some ice cream! To finish the night, we rented "The Vow". We were not fans of how it ended, but thought it was a good movie! The rest of the weekend was filled with soaking up the sun and spending it with family.
Kailey showing me her watermelon ;)
Our families have had some hard times (as in sickness) it seems the last several months. So,I need to ask that you say a prayer for our families, whether you are religious or not. We would greatly appreciate it.

I found a couple of pictures from our wedding that I thought I would share, I hope it puts a smile on your face as it did mine!

There were many more candid shots, but for some odd reason it's not letting me post. So, until next time!

Choose your love, and love your choice!

Well, another weekend has come, not to mention it will be a 3 day weekend. I couldn't be more excited to be attending Megan and John's wedding!! Tomorrow, one of my oldest friends will be walking down the isle to become Mrs. John Davis. CONGRATS, Meg! So happy for you!

Mother's Day Weekend

Hope you all had a great Mother's Day weekend. We celebrated with J's mom on Saturday and my mom on Sunday. It was great to spend it with two amazing women, who have impacted my life greatly. I know everyone says that their mom is the best, but I, hands down, have the best. I pray that one day I am a fraction of the mom she has been to me.

I am also very thankful for Jeff's mom for multiple reasons, but the most important being that she raised an incredible son, who I get to spend the rest of my life with. He treats me like the queen I am, lol!! Yes, Jeff, I am a QUEEN! ;)
I had our picture framed for them both. Shout out to Kristi for making the frames!
Sorry I could not get this picture to turn the right way...
I made personalized cards for both mothers from Shutterfly!
I forgot to mention that I made HOMEMADE biscuits this weekend. They were pretty good, definitely going to perfect them!

----------------
Well, I was going to make this strictly about mother's day, but went to have an MRI on my knee this morning. Dr. Jones did NOT come back with good news. I tore my ACL!! Let me add that I tore my ACL in the other knee when I was in high school, and I haven't forgotten the pain I endured. With that said, I am still in shock. I want to fast forward the months of surgery and PT by. Oh well, no time or need to dwell. Have a great rest of the day!

This and That Thursday!

For the first time I used one of my favorite gifts from our wedding. One of my parents gifts to us was a Shark, which is a steam cleaner for floors (if you didn't know). So Jeff bought us new furniture for the living room and since it was cleared out waiting on the furniture guys to get there, I decided to put it to use. It was very simple and worked like a charm! THANKS MOM!
Yes, you read that correctly Jeff bought us living room furniture!! Have I told you how good he is to me? or how much I love that man?! Probably NOT ENOUGH! He is the absolute best! I could never say enough great things about him. Below is the picture of HIS chair ;) but the rest of the furniture looks the same. I will take a better picture once we get it where we want it.
The night we got the furniture was the night for the "super moon," and it wasn't as super as I thought it was going to be. Jeff and I went outside to check it out and maybe we just weren't in the right spot or looked at it at the right time. But below is a picture of what we saw.
Well, I just returned from another conference in Daytona Beach. Most people think that conferences are nothing but a free vacation, boy are you wrong! I got up at 3:30 AM on Sunday morning to catch my flight out. As soon as we got there, we hit the ground running tracking down our packages, setting up the booth, then went to the room to get ready for the exhibit to start that evening. So, you work 12 hour days then have to take LOVELY customers or potential clients out to eat and entertain. The one night I decided to put my feet in the sand was to play sand volleyball with potential clients, bad idea! I ended up hopefully just twisted my knee severely. Supposed to meet with my orthopedic surgeon (yes, I have one. Don't you? ha! I've had 2 previous knee surgeries) this afternoon for him to take a look at it. Say a prayer for me! I was supposed to arrive home at 4 yesterday, and ended up getting home around 8:30. The joys of traveling!
View from our room, just not right ;)
Ready for the weekend and what it has in store for Jeff and I! I am sure that will have to be a post in itself!

This Sunday is Mother's Day, and I can not WAIT to dedicate a post to my amazing mother and mother in law. They are going to LOVE their gift! So, be on the lookout for what they get! Hope you have a great weekend and be sure to let your mother know how much you love and appreciate her. I promise she has done more for you then you will ever realize!

Little of This & That

Well, as of this weekend, J and I bought a vehicle. I have had my car for 9 years, and it has been almost like losing a child. I know that sounds silly and J makes fun of me, but I am a sentimental person. Luckily we are keeping Maggie, yes, it even has a name!

Anyway, I think this has been the most stressful thing I have done in my life. I am already an anxious person, and this has not made it any easier. I am told that each week that passes by, it will get better. We will see!

Enough about that. Jared and Kayla are hitched! It was a great weekend, and was much more enjoyable being able to spend it with family. When it's your wedding, it's harder to do that. Here are a couple of pictures I took with my phone (which is why the quality is horrible), but will post professional ones later.

Jared's cake, how cute!
Kayla ended up with a little cake in her hair, thanks to Jared
So, after all the wedding festivities, we spent the rest of the weekend spending it with family. I finally got to meet some more of Jeff's cousins, and they were a blast. We are planning a trip to San Antonio to visit!

Going back to work on Monday was hard on the both of us, not to mention stressed about just buying a vehicle. So, when I got off on Tuesday I ran home to make J a good home cooked meal...chicken and ritz cracker casserole! Not sure if he was starving or if it was truly as good as I though it was. ;)

That's it for today! Hope you all have had a great week so far, and I do plan to blog more now that things are dying down.
